Hi there, I’m Ben – an early career earth science researcher and remote sensing analyst. I’m interested in applications of aerial remote sensing data for environmental management and climate resilience. With experience in forestry, watershed management, GIS & Remote Sensing, data science, and a master’s degree in Environmental Science, I approach environmental questions with a focus on data and technology. In 2023 I founded Covering Ground Mapping to bridge gaps between researchers and practitioners by providing mapping services and GIS training. I’m a pilot and lifelong aviation enthusiast. When I’m not making maps you can find me on the river (hopefully) in my kayak.
